NorthWind’s skilled team of engineers, programmers, and technicians have extensive process experience in addition to programming and design expertise in a wide range of industries.

Company History

1997 NorthWind Technical Services, LLC was established by Mike and Marlene Bosworth in their home outside of Sabetha, Kansas.  At that time, the company primarily offered engineering consulting services.

1999 NorthWind began offering automation system solutions and moved into a small office space in downtown Sabetha and control panels for the automation systems were constructed in the Bosworth’s garage at their home.

2001 The company’s first full time employee was hired.

2003 A new 5,000 sq. ft. office and panel shop was constructed in the Sabetha industrial Park for the growing business.

2012 A major expansion added 2,600 sq. ft. of space that included a test lab, lunch room, and additional office space for a growing number of employees

2014 NorthWind expanded for a second time, adding another 3,250 sq. ft. to the facility’s panel shop and warehouse area.

2017 A third expansion will provide additional space for control panel fabrication and personnel.

NorthWind Today

Today, NorthWind has more than 35 employees that provide process automation services, industrial control panel fabrication, and engineering support services to clients throughout the United States and around the world. This skilled team of engineers, programmers, and technicians have extensive process experience in addition to programming and design expertise in a wide range of industries. NorthWind’s PlantLOGIX™ software suite streamlines and simplifies programming, management, and maintenance of industrial processes.

A U.L. Listed panel shop fabricates industrial control panels in a 5750 sq. ft., climate-controlled manufacturing facility located at the company headquarters in Sabetha, Kansas. The facility is fully-equipped to fabricate, test, and ship control panels of any size.  State-of-the-art office technology allows NorthWind to provide programming and support services to clients anywhere in the world. In addition, the company earned Control Systems Integrators Association (CSIA) certification in 2010 and continues to utilize CSIA’s Best Practices and Benchmarks in order to provide the best value to its customers, combining technical proficiency with sound business practices.
